My  job at Eskimo Joes consisted of customer service, promoting events and musical acts, and entertaining the patrons of Stillwater.

Oct. 2011-Present| Manager

Family Video| Sapulpa, Tulsa, Stillwater, Cushing, and Yukon, OK

My job at Family Video was primary overseeing the shifts day to day and night to night. I am the leader that employees come to for help and the customer service representatives customers come to for assistance. I have also planned, promoted, and executed multiple grassroots events for the community including Polar Express night for the kids, Hula for the hungry, and Spring Fling for the Arts program. I also proud of the Halloween Sidewalk Carnival we had feeding ones in need and raising 33% more money over last year for our “Research for Lymphoma” program.

Oct. 2012-Feb 2013| Public Relations Representative

Assurance Restoration | Sapulpa, OK

While working at Assurance Restoration, I planned several events promoting the company. I planned and implemented cook outs in which plumbers, repair men, electricians, etc. would come out and eat while we promoted, pitched, and enticed them with coupons and flyers to give out to customers. I also implanted a rewards program for them to enable a win/win situation for both our company and theirs as well.

May 2010-Aug. 2010| OKC Intern

Oklahoma City All-Sports Association | Oklahoma City, OK

During my internship at OKC All-Sports, I gained knowledge of sports promotion, new release writing, execution of sporting events, and how sponsorship works. I assisted the company in planning, promoting, executed, and following up on the Big12 Baseball Championship, the World Series of Softball, the NCAA Golf Championship, and the ESPN Golf Invitational.

March 30/31-April 1/2 2013| NCAA Intern.

NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament | Oklahoma City, OK

Through my advanced public relations course, I was able to intern for the NCAA media department at Chesapeake Arena for the women’s basketball tournament. During my time there I helped with the press conferences, held the microphone for press, ran quotes, took game notes, and passed out stats for all press members.

Clubs and Accomplishments

Women in Sports Media Association

I was one of the founding mothers to the first collegiate chapter of the Women in Sports Media Association club. I was a founder the first year, the secretary and promotions officer for a year, and  an active member for three years. I helped establish this collegiate chapter to support minorities in the sports field.

Sports Management Club

While being an active member of this organization, I traveled to career fairs, engaged in sports marketing classes, and learned from guest speakers about marketing in the sports world and how I can help contribute to it.

Sports Media Association

While being a member of the Sports Media Club, I attended meetings to engage with guest speakers. I traveled to different sporting events to learn from media crews, marketing groups, and event coordinators for teams like the OKC Thunder.
